It’s a row of books.  It’s a sculpture! It is an investigation of color!

This multipart wall sculpture reflects the foredges of closed books, holding knowledge safely between hard covers.  It is questionable whether, in this case, this knowledge can be accessed.  These objects are clamped tightly shut.

An interesting note is that each object has the same three colors of thread, with the same color numbers and dye-lots:  Royal blue, turquoise and golden yellow. The changes in color perception are caused by the changes in the substrate.  Each object is stitched on a different color of fabric.

Hang them in whatever order  you choose.  Each has a small cleat for secure hanging.
