Chromatic Flutter

Folds and color.  Color and folds. Add in tri-lobal embroidery thread and the color shift magnifies. The thread acts almost like a prism, refracting the colors so that a single thread of blue may appear to be several shades of blue.  Add folds and curves and the color shifts are magnified even more.  Joyous and exciting and always surprising.

Chromatic Flutter is a three-dimensional wall work…a rainbow that sinuously moves across the wall, nearly taking flight!  It is vibrant, exciting, yet paradoxically peaceful.
