Description
Organelles is an interesting series. In this series I worked with forms based on shells and single celled life forms. I also experimented with different media.
In this triptych, I stitched on Rives BFK printmaking paper with rayon thread. I hand colored the thread, from the back, with watercolor. The color seeped along the thread, creating natural variations. The images were assembled and permanently affixed to 3 light boxes. The effect is lovely, whether the boxes are lit or unlit.
It is a show stopper that has won awards.
