Description

INFINITY?

It all began as a reflection upon accordion and pop-up books and, of course, color.  I do truly love the color capabilities of commercial embroidery thread!  It reflects and bends light rather like a prism. Since all color is simply reflected light, if you change the angle of the reflection, you change the color.  But I am also passionately devoted to sculptural form, drawing on my background in sculpture and bookarts.  And then there is the matter of the mirrors and their multiplier effect!

Reflective Conundrum is a three part, rearrangeable, table-top sculpture.  It comes with three reflective bases.  This one is fun! You can put all three together, as shown. You can stack them.  You can scatter them individually around your house or office. You chose the composition.  But then, there is more!  The sculptures are reflected in the bases, extending your viewing into illusory space.
