The life of an artist is one of experimentation.
There is this thing about clowns…They make us laugh…and they frighten us. It’s a seesaw between hilarity and terror. And then there is the Stephen Sondheim song..asking plaintively,”Where are the clowns? Send in the clowns.”
I was experimenting with new forms and colorways, seeking a certain effervescence. And I suppose I achieved that, but I kept hearing the Stephen Sondheim song in my head.
