Symphony

Description

Symphony was inspired by music.  I was invited to participate in a French collaborative project where artists anonymously received the work of two other artists to which they would respond.  I received two clips of music: one was a brief, dark rap.  The second was techno-jazz with a lilting section of chimes.  I meditated on the sounds and came up with the colors and the general form.  When I went to the computer to draw it, of course the image changed. The silver metallic thread demanded to be included!
