Zig Zag

Description

Zig Zag  is an example of noticing, experimenting and play.  Much of my time as an artist is spent watching and seeing what happens.  The process I go through is certainly an outgrowth and a refresh of childhood play.  It’s sort of like lifting the flagstone to see what critter scurries away! Zig Zag is the critter I caught! It started as an experiment in fold direction and light reflection. The parts kept suggesting new endpoints that did not quite satisfy until one day I remembered the red zig zag fabric in my stash!

Zig Zag is a modest sized triptych, appropriate in any environment.  It reveals itself easily, yet when you live with it awhile, it reveals more!
