Tap, Tap, Shuffle or New Opportunities

I don’t know about you, but I am dancing as fast as I can in these waning days of the pandemic!

May I have the First Dance?

As a gallery director I try to get “ahead of the game,”  by scheduling a year or two in advance. Even so,  scheduling hiccups still happen.  The artist for the  March 15 show  of Susan Hensel Gallery on Artsy needed to be rescheduled.  That’s where I step in and do the tap dance! Tap, Tap, shuffle!

Neotectonic Period: a radical proposal for beauty

You read my ideas on the political nature of beauty…right?  And you may have noticed the developing body of textile art/mixed media work Neotectonic Period that has been growing since mid-October. There are quite a few works in the series already, both mixed media on paper as well as small, medium and large sculptural work for the wall and floor!  And, there is a lot more in process.  So, watch Susan Hensel Gallery on Artsy.net  for the opening on March 15, 2022.

And now, for  the second Dance…

Tap, Tap

Other organizations have scheduling problems too!  They are dancing as fast as they can as well!  I got a call from the Benedictine Center of St. Paul’s  Monastery that they had an opening in their gallery schedule in the early spring. That’s where I step in and do the tap dance again! Tap, Tap, shuffle!

The Benedictine Center is a lovely place with a generous gallery space in the entry and down the hallway toward the dining hall.  I have an award winning piece there right now in their annual exhibition “SEEING GOD.” Stay tuned! I will be showing parts of the Artsy.net show IN REAL LIFE!  and a selection from my Chromatic Series.

Tap

I’ll be showing with this artist: who makes beautiful crosses from reclaimed materials.

STAY TUNED!  The dates, the title, the actual list of artworks are all to come…

Now for the third and final dance…

Tap, Tap , Shuffle

These two happened!  16 year old Maggie (the little blond) and her 11 year old daughter Gracie!  They moved in a few days ago, but already they say, “We’re  not begging!  but, IS THAT SUSHI?” I step in and do the tap dance again! Tap, Tap, shuffle!

Keep Dancing!  There may yet be a fourth act!
