At Play in the Fields of Color Perception

I create sculptural textile works that explore the intersection of color, form, and perception. Through a synthesis of digital design and manual craftsmanship, I expand the possibilities of textile-based art.

The catalyst for this work was a single encounter: a shade of ultramarine, stitched by machine, that defied anything I had seen before. That moment led to years of technical training, grant work, and intensive experimentation. Today, I digitally design stitch-based images, carefully assign color sequences, and produce modular embroidered components, which I assemble into sculptural forms.
